A study done by Kaiser Permanente Bernard J Tyson School of Medicine found that exercise in almost any quantity reduces the risk of a severe covid-19 infection, even with people who worked out for as little as 11 minutes a week experience lower risks of hospitiliaztion from Covid-19 than those who did not exercise.
This is important news to anyone who may have a compromised immune system as there is now a study proving that you can in fact do something that helps reduce the chance that you get a severe case of Covid, even if you come into contact with the virus.
The study was conducted among almost 200,00 adults in southern California. "It turns out exercise is even more powerful that we thought" says Robert Sallis, a professor at Kaiser Permanente.
