Healthier Knees by Walking

A study made by researchers from Baylor College of Medicine shoes that walking can reduce new frequent knee pain from people aged at 50 or older when diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis, which is the most common form of arthritis in that age group. They also found that walking for exercise can be an effective treatment to slow the damage that occurs within the knee joint.
Normally you might be surprised to hear that walking can help bad knees as often walking may put strain on your knees and the motion of walking can be hard to do when your knees are causing you pain. The fact that this study has come out is a great news indicator for people with chronic knee pain from arthritis that they can exercise, gain the benefits from exercise as it is and also help the knee pain that may have put you off exercising in the first place.
